A martyred director, Morteza Avini’s name is reminiscent of honesty, perseverance and conscientiousness. ifilm brings you what this highly praised martyr shared with the Iranian nation, of his brilliant ideas and doctrine, in a few installments.
Let’s start with an introduction to the martyr himself, as his official website puts it.
April 8, 1993 is the day of Haj Sayyed Morteza Aviny's martyrdom. He was a skillful author, the narrator of the TV program Ravayat-e Fath or ‘Chronicles of Victory’, the chief editor of Sura Magazine (an artistic and literary magazine) and the head of TV department of the artistic center. Having traveled to one of the war zones of Iran for making a new series of the series, with a group of cameramen, he was martyred in a mine blast; one left there from the war era. He was not alone, his colleague "Mohammed Sa'eed Yazdanparast" was also martyred.
Two days before leaving for Fakkeh, in an answer to the question: "Where are you leaving for?" he noted, "You may not know where I am going, I am leaving for Fakkeh, where our combatants witnessed how the angels were delivering the martyrs' souls."
After his martyrdom, leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, commemorated his memory as "the lord of martyred authors".
The martyrdom anniversary of an Islamic revolution's artist who spent his life in the battlefields and who was the narrator of the Islamic combatants' efforts, was called " the day of the Islamic revolution's Art". This was following the Supreme leader's decree and was suggested by the poets and poetesses, authors and the artists of the Artistic Center of the Organization of the Islamic Propagation.
